Lodge Bank Garage is an independent family owned business - with many years of experience specialising in service and repairs to Volkswagen Group vehicles (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda).

Our Prices


In comparison to other local garages and ‘fast-fit’ chains, we will tend to be more expensive for some services. This is simply due to various factors of maintaining a high standard and the equipment we require to be able to offer a level of service comparable to the main dealer.

Our priority is to be competitive at this level, aiming to be much cheaper than the main dealer and generally great value for money in regards to the high quality of service we aim to provide.




We’ll always do our best to keep the cost as low as possible but there are hurdles we face which include:


Our policy for strictly only using high quality parts

Like most high quality things, these unfortunately have a premium price point. We have a great relationship with our suppliers and are able to get these parts for much better value, passing the savings on to you, but this is limited due to their manufacturing costs.

The economy

Unavoidable inflation and price hikes increase our running costs, unfortunately we are forced to adapt with this to allow us to continue business.


What is the difference between genuine and OEM parts?

An original equipment manufactured part is an identical part built by the company that initially made the parts for the manufacturer. They are basically the same part as genuine but come straight from the company that produce the part, boxed in their own branding and at a much cheaper cost.

The main benefits of premium parts:

  • Made with better quality materials that perform better and last longer, typically having a longer warranty.
  • Ensures your vehicle maintains the same performance and safety the manufacturer intended. Some cheaper parts tend to be inferior and can require modifications to the vehicle or even force to get them to fit correctly which can impact performance.

Our ability to keep up with the advancement of technology and offer new services

Examples include: keeping up with the demands of specialising on Volkswagen group vehicles, i.e. dealer-level diagnostic capabilities, ADAS calibration etc. Also being able to offer helpful perks such as free courtesy cars, free collection and delivery etc.
To have the ability to do this, we have to invest in new equipment and training. This in turn increases our overheads and our labour rate has to reflect this for us to continue to operate. On the flip side, the benefit is that we are able to offer a lot of services that you’d only expect to find at a main dealer but at a much lower cost.
